Weed-overrun tank on outskirts gets makeover

Until more than a year ago, any motorist descending the bridge from Tambaram to Perungalathur along GST Road would avoid looking at the weed-infested Peerkankaranai tank where cattle wallowed in the dirty water. Now, the water body wears a new look with the public works department (PWD) taking up the eco-restoration.
