Students needn't visit schools on Jan 16: TN govt

Following a backlash over a circular directing officials to bring students to school on January 16, during the Pongal holidays, to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech on examination fears, the state government on Saturday said it was not mandatory for students to come to schools.
