Madurai: Pregnant woman dies of allergy in hosp

A 23-year-old pregnant woman and her foetus died of allergic reaction when she was being administered a drug to induce labour pain at the Ramanathapuram government hospital. While the doctors maintained that the allergic reaction was unexpected and spiralled out of control, the victim’s relatives protested alleging medical negligence.
