Import brings onion prices down in Chennai

The price of premium quality onion dropped to Rs 130 per kilogram in the wholesale market in Chennai and some varieties were sold for Rs 60 per kilogram, a day after a few traders imported more than 35 tonnes of onion from Egypt.
