Haasan’s party not to take part in DMK-led rally

The Makkal Needhi Maiam will not participate in the DMK-led rally against the Citizenship Amendment Act in the city on Monday. A few middle-level functionaries of the party, led by general secretary A Sowrirajan, called on DMK president M K Stalin on Saturday and thanked him for extending the invitation to MNM to participate in the rally. However, they said the party would not participate in the event as both MNM chief Kamal Haasan and vice-president R Mahendran were abroad.
