CAB: AIADMK reposes faith in Amit Shah

The ruling AIADMK, a key constituent of the NDA, on Monday extended support - outside Parliament - to the contentious Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) that seeks to amend the 64-year-old law aiming to grant immunity to only non-Muslim refugees who faced religious persecution in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. The lone AI- ADMK member in the Lok Sa- bha, P Raveendranath Kumar, however, did not take part in the discussion when the matter was taken up in the House.
