120-year-old tree transplanted for Tada highway

A banyan tree has been transplanted nearly 600m from its original location where it has existed for more than 100 years. Located in Jaganathapuram on the outskirts and falling within Tiruvallur district along National Highway 5, the tree had to give way for a road-widening project.
