10,000 saplings planted at Srirangam

Initiating the ‘Forest in the City’ project, the Trichy Corporation in association with the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) department on Friday planted 10,000 saplings in Miyawaki method, a Japanese technique involving the plantation of various native saplings in a dense manner.
