Trichy: Sons adamant not to take mom, 95, back

Age doesn’t seem to be a barrier when it comes to abandoning one’s aged parents on the road. The case of 95-year-old Pattammal of Sengunthapuram in Jayankondam who was left outside by her sons underlines this growing malaise. A day after she was rescued and admitted to the Jayankondam government hospital, her two sons Shanmugam and Sathasivam continued to be adamant that they won’t take care of her.
