The Madurai city police registered 25 cases against residents for bursting crackers on Sunday - on the occasion of Diwali -- by violating the rules laid down by the Tamil Nadu government. The government had fixed the timing for bursting crackers, from 6am to 7am and from 7pm to 8pm.
