Chennai to get next spell of rain only by mid-Nov

Though weather systems are gaining strength over the sea on either side of the peninsula, the city may have to wait for a week for the next round of monsoon rain. Experts said the remnants of the system brewing over Bay of Bengal may bring rain back to coastal Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, only by mid-November when it is likely to weaken and recurve towards the southeast coast from West Bengal.
