A police team from Trichy district secured two people involved in illegal plantation of ganja after identifying a substantial plantation on about 72 cents of land in Thennilai village in Karur district on Wednesday. The total value of the ganja grown at the centre of about 7 acres of land was worth Rs 12 lakh, according to rough estimates by the police.
