Five arrested for hunting deer in Trichy

Five people were arrested and three others including a cop and a deputy block development officer booked by Pudukottai town police on Friday in connection with the poaching of a spotted deer in Thuvarankurichi forest range in Trichy district. Three licensed weapons used for poaching the wild animal have also been recovered.
