Chennai: Gang kills man to find hidden treasure

A construction worker’s drunken boast that he had stumbled on some ‘treasure’ and his Rs 2,000 tip to a waiter at a TASMAC bar on Mudichur road triggered a film-style abduction that ended in him being beaten to death by a 10-man gang trying to make him reveal its whereabouts.
