TN: Flood alert sounded along Cauvery pathways

The district administration sounded flood alert to the people who are living along the Cauvery pathways in Salem, Namakkal, Erode, Trichy, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Pudukottai and Cuddalore districts after Public Works Department (PWD) officials released water from the Mettur dam in the early hours of Wednesday after it reached its full capacity.
