HC dismisses PIL challenging transfer of ex-CJ

Four days after the President notified the resignation of former Chief Justice of the Madras high court V K Tahilramani, a division bench of the court on Wednesday dismissed as not maintainable a public interest litigation seeking to prohibit the office of the President from giving effect to the recommendation of the Supreme Court collegium on her transfer to the Meghalaya high court.
