The Tamil Nadu government and Vedanta has made a joint representation to the Madras high court registry seeking to reconsider an administrative order issued by former Chief Justice of Madras high court V K Tahilramani altering a special bench hearing Vedanta's pleas challenging closure of its Sterlite Copper plant in Tuticorin. They wanted the matters to be reposted to the original bench as the order affected the day-to-day hearing of the pleas.
