Anna varsity scraps foreign ‘junket’ scheme

Anna University has scrapped the foreign ‘tour’ programme for BE, BTech students studying in the university’s four campuses and government engineering colleges citing ineffectiveness of the 15-day trip in honing students’ skills. The university spent Rs 1.5 crore on the scheme.
