660 Chennai road contracts, finalised just before polls, scraped

At least 660 city road contracts, finalised in a hurry days before the assembly elections, have now been cancelled by Greater Chennai Corporation as most of these roads are in good condition. The civic body is set to save about Rs 43 crore by these cancellations.
