Chennai, 12 other districts report spike in new cases

Fresh cases of Covid-19 in Tamil Nadu dropped to 1,767 on Tuesday compared to 1,785 on Monday. However, 13 districts, including Chennai and Kancheepuram, reported a marginal increase in new cases. TN also recorded a rise in daily deaths to 29 on Tuesday compared to 26 on Monday and 22 on Sunday. Seventeen districts, including Chennai and Kancheepuram, reported zero deaths on Tuesday.
