Tamil Nadu to ‘colour code’ expectant moms

Simple changes in treatment and first-aid protocols — categorising patients as red, yellow and green based on their medical condition — brought down mortality rates in road accidents in Tamil Nadu Now, the state health department is working out a similar protocol to tag pregnant women in an attempt to reduce maternal mortality rates (MMR).
