EPS calls on guv over temple land for squatters

Chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday met governor Banwarilal Purohit in the wake of BJP’s strong criticism of a government order to hand over temple land to economically poor families. The meeting also came on a day when the BJP and the DMK-led opposition were pitted in a bitter exchange over the alleged ‘saffronisation’ of saint-poet Thiruvalluvar.
