TN 4th lowest in poverty ratio, Pondy lowest among UTs

The Union territory of Puducherry has the lowest poverty ratio among the Union territories in the country with just 1.72% of its population living in poverty, according to a multidimensional poverty index (MPI) report prepared by the Niti Aayog based on the National family health survey - 4 done in 2015-16.
