Tamil Nadu to study, amp up urban transportation

In a bid to better public transport, the state transport department has embarked on a study to understand the status of urban transport with the support of private experts. It comes against the backdrop of transportation demand being largely met through private modes, leading to slowing vehicle movement speed and higher travel time.
