The city airport may be growing, but it’s at such a sluggish pace that it may soon lose its tag as the country’s fourth busiest airport in terms of total passengers handled. It may lose the position to Kolkata or Hyderabad. Chennai, despite geographical advantage, is struggling with limitations in ground infrastructure due to inadequate space in passenger terminals and runways.
