Traders demand creation of Mayiladuthurai dist

A day after the Tamil Nadu government announced the decision to create Tenkasi and Chengalpet districts, thousands of traders downed shutters in Mayiladuthurai demanding formation of a new district with Mayiladuthurai as its capital.
