When Mohammed Aboobacker Siddique decided to quit his high paying engineering job to teach 3-year-olds, it was met with surprise and a little concern. “I was warned because it is a rarity,” he says. And he was right. Four years ago, when Siddique enrolled in a Montessori training institute in the city, he was the only man in a class of 40 women.
