Indian Navy personnel on a patrol boat damaged a buoy deployed by the National Centre for Coastal Research (NCCR) off the Chennai coast. The Rs 65lakh buoy, funded by the Centre as part of a pilot project to automate coastal water quality monitoring, was to be officially inaugurated by the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) on Wednesday.
