Girl ends life as parents can't afford her studies

A 17-year-old girl committed suicide by setting herself on fire on the first day of college, at her house in Paithandurai in Chinnasalem on Tuesday morning. She took the extreme step as her parents were unable to admit her in a course that she sought due to financial problems.
