Encounter case: TN asked to pay compensation

Ten years after the death of a man in a police encounter, State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has directed the Tamil Nadu government to pay Rs 5 lakh as compensation to the man’s family and recommended disciplinary action against the police team involved.
