Tamil Nadu’s oxygen allotment hiked to 650 tonnes

Following a request from the Tamil Nadu government last week, the Centre has increased the oxygen allotment to the state to 650 tonnes from the earlier 519 tonnes. The increase by 131 tonnes includes 25 tonnes oxygen being produced by Sterlite Copper from its Tuticorin complex, which was already being supplied to hospitals in south Tamil Nadu.
