HC junks plea seeking a caste census in 2021

The Madras high court on Friday dismissed a PIL that sought a caste-wise census to be carried out in 2021. “When the endeavour is to move towards a casteless society, such petitions cannot be entertained,” a division bench of Justice M Sathyanarayanan and Justice P Rajamanickam said.
