Puducherry man kidnaps, tries to rape girl, held

A 36-year-old man, who kidnapped a minor girl and attempted to sexually assault her, was arrested on Friday at Thirukkanur on the outskirts of the territory. The accused was identified as P Karthik alias Peraman, a painter from Koonichampet.
