He hasn’t slept in 24 hours, has a pounding headache, and an overflowing inbox. “I know I will get to sleep only when cyclone Nivar exits,” says the 38-year-old, who exploded into stardom during the 2015 Chennai floods, when his accurate weather updates started getting noticed. That was the year several amateur weather bloggers arrived on the scene. The city now has more than 50.
