Uncle gets life for raping, impregnating girl

A special Pocso court in Tirunelveli convicted the 34-year-old uncle of a minor girl and awarded him life imprisonment for raping her in 2017 that resulted in the girl delivering a baby. “The victim was 15 years old when the incident took place. DNA test of blood samples collected from the baby and the accused proved the crime,” public prosecutor Jebajeeva Raja, who appeared for the victim, said.
