The state government insists suburban train services need to resume for economic activity to revive, but the railways doesn’t seem prepared to make commute safer and hassle-free on the three lines straddling the city. This is in contrast to Chennai Metro Rail Limited which has done a lot of work at its stations to ensure commuters follow Covid-19 protocol.
