Chennai: Godwoman cons man, kin of Rs 48 lakh

A 45-year-old self-proclaimed godwoman who cheated a man and his family members of 100 sovereigns of gold jewellery worth Rs 40 lakh and Rs 8 lakh in cash on the pretext of driving away ‘evil spirits’ besetting them at Neelankarai, has been arrested.
