Crimes against dalits hushed up, say TN activists

On March 6, a 13-year-old girl was raped by three men in Vaniyambadi in Tirupathur. On July 1, a seven-year-old girl was raped and murdered by a local flower seller in the town of Aranthangi in Pudukottai district. On July 5, the body of a 40-year-old woman was found tied to a tree. The common thread tying these cases together is that the victims were dalits.
