Before the lockdown, Ranganathan — a techie — was a regular at the JK badminton court in Nanganallur. His fitness goals, like many others, went for a toss during the last few months. But with the state government announcing relaxations in lockdown, the court has reopened and Ranganathan too is making use of the facility. While a majority of badminton and tennis courts around the city are opening their doors for amateurs after following the mandatory protocols, the same can’t be said about other sporting disciplines such as football, swimming and table tennis.
