Religious bodies can’t dissolve marriages: HC

Religious organisations have got no power to dissolve a marriage or to permit a marriage and such exercises by a jamath or any other religious organisation are condemnable and should be dealt with very seriously by the authorities concerned, the Madras high court has said.
