Over 100 acres of marshland encroached upon

An amicus curiae appointed by the Madras high court has found that more than 100 acres of Pallikaranai marshland has been encroached up on by central government buildings -- including Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS), National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Centre for Wind Energy Technology (C-Wet) -- IT parks and residential buildings.
