TN: Two students swept away in Bhavani river

A day after a group of Mettupalayam residents requested the collector to set up a siren to warn them of release of water from the Pillur dam, two students of the Kathir College of Arts and Science were washed away while taking a dip in the Bhavani river near Sirumugai when the dam was opened on Friday morning. Their bodies are yet to be found.
