'Painted Ladies' swarm all over Chennai

This 'lady' is painting the town red blue and green. In an unusual phenomenon, hundreds of butterflies, called 'Painted Ladies' (Vanessa cardui), have been spotted on the verdant IIT-M campus, in places like Nungambakkam, Anna Nagar and Mogappair, as well as in suburban areas coming under Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts.
