Man assaulted by cop, govt told to pay him Rs 25k

The State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) on Wednesday directed the Tamil Nadu government to compensate a sum of Rs 25,000 to a man who was assaulted and abused by a sub-inspector at Ponneri police station in Tiruvallur district.
