Chennai may get 25MLD water per day from Vellore

As Chennai faces one of its worst summers, the state government is planning to bring in water from Vellore by rail wagons. The situation is reminiscent of the 2001 drought when water was brought in from Neyveli by trucks and from Erode by train.
