TN House to recover salary from disqualified MLA

In a significant first, the Madras high court on Wednesday allowed the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly to recover a sum of Rs 21.58 lakh paid as salary and allowances to an MLA who was later disqualified by the Supreme Court from holding the post.
