Tamil Nadu to ban sale of cow dung fertilizer

The state health department will soon bring in rules to stop sale of a commonly used fertilizer, cow dung powder, that mixes cow dung with hazardous and toxic chemicals, health minister Ma Subramanian said on Friday. The state will work with the agriculture department to moderate the sale of other fertilizers and rat poison.
