On the occasion of the World Rabies Day, which is observed on September 28, animal rights organisation FIAPO (Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations) has called upon the Centre and the state governments to implement a multi-pronged programme that includes animal birth control (ABC), vaccination, counselling, and medical aid.
