Land-grabbing politicians a threat to democracy: HC

Land grabbing by elected representatives is not only dangerous but a threat to democracy itself, said the Madras high court, adding that that was why constitutional courts are repeatedly insisting that candidates having serious criminal background may not be allowed to contest in elections.
