'Vaccine for all above 18 years must be free of cost'

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Friday appealed to the Centre to administer Covid-19 vaccine free of cost to all people above the age of 18 years to be vaccinated from May 1. It stated that the cost involved in the mass vaccination would be much lower than the economic gain the country would achieve if the vaccines were sold.
